FAQ
Making a Booking
How long does it take to confirm my booking?
Whilst we do our best to confirm your travel plans with the providers as quickly as possible, on rare occasions it could take a little longer.
We advise that booking requests could take up to 12 hours to confirm with providers.
Can I pay a deposit?
During the booking process, you will be offered two options regarding payments.
Option 1 - Full payment
Option 2 – Deposit
If you choose to pay a deposit only, the remaining amount will be advised to you at the time of booking, which will include the payment ‘due date’.
Failure to pay the outstanding balance by your due date will result in us notifying your travel provider, which will result in cancellation
fees set out to you in your booking agreement.
How will I get my confirmation
You will be emailed a confirmation at time of booking online. Also another booking confirmation will be emailed to you prior to your departure date.
I’m travelling alone – is that ok?
This is the beauty of liveaboard travel: many of our travellers are travelling solo and want to meet and share experiences with like-minded people.
I’m travelling solo, will I be charged a single supplement?
As a solo traveller, you will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender as per your passport information. If you’re not comfortable sharing a room with someone of the same gender, you also have the choice to pay for a single supplement (available on the majority of our trips).
How do I make a group booking?
We can help you sort out a group booking. You need to contact us to make a group booking as we can offer free places and these are not offered on the website.
Amending a Booking
How do I amend my booking?
It’s possible to make certain changes to your booking you will need to call us and different charges and rules apply to different suppliers.
Please note that if we are able to make any changes to your booking, we charge an amendment fee of £50 per booking, plus any charges applied by the service providers.
Travel Documents
Booking Confirmation
Just take along the liveaboard-world booking confirmation document that is all you will need.
Visa and passports
it is your responsibility to check the passport, visa and any other entry requirements
on the destination you are visiting. You can find most of the information you need on www.fco.gov.uk as they advise
on visa requirements and how much length you need on your passport before it expires.
As a standard rule of travel 12 months on your passport is always a good idea.
Travel and Diving Insurance
Do I need travel insurance?
Travel and diving insurance is a must for all travellers and should be taken out at the time of booking. You must provide proof of your booth on the first day of your trip; you will not be able to join the trip without it.
What does my policy need to cover?
At a minimum, your travel insurance should be 'comprehensive', providing cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability, with a minimum coverage. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. Westfield Insurance or DAN Insurance are good places to look at.
Cancelling a Booking
How do I cancel my booking
If you wish to cancel a liveaboard trip required to pay a £40 cancellation fee to cover our administration costs, and any other cancellation fees that may be levied by the supplier(s) of your arrangements.
Please note that even if you cancel your Arrangements within 28 days of booking, the second deposit balance of your package will be payable in full immediately plus the administration charge detailed above.
This means that if you still have a balance to pay then this would be charged to cancel.
